Starting in 2016, Brisbane Fashion Month presented by Wintergarden aims to raise the profile of Queensland fashion in the Australian and International market. It provides forums for education and discussion, and an opportunity to mix and mingle with industry and peers and more importantly, a spotlight to the local industry.

Every year aims to bring a new mix of events from runway showcases, fashion competitions, educational series and networking events to the unknown dynamic creatives.

Showcasing some of the best that Brisbane and the South East has to offer and enabling valuable networking and cross promotion, Brisbane Fashion Month presented by Wintergarden embraces the apparel industry, Spring and everything great that Queensland has to offer from the sandy beaches of the coastline, it’s resort wear and swimwear to the city life and style of Brisbane itself.

The month of October in Brisbane sees and exciting array of fashion events.

Brisbane Fashion Month presented by Wintergarden is about uniting the industry and providing a substantial platform for national media coverage and audience engagement. 2016’s calendar saw a series of events including Q&As, a fashion film festival, blogger brunch and a most highly anticipated red carpet finale with champagne and cocktails soiree and a runway showcasing garments from top Queensland designers.

Once a year, we produce unique, immersive, and state of the art fashion experiences to showcase the newest collections of Queensland based, national & international designers. BFM is at the helm and has it’s finger on the pulse of local innovation and design and we foster relationships between artists, designers, retailers, and the media.

We are dedicated to supporting apparel, design, and art communities through a variety of initiatives, partners, organisations and aim to showcase the best local innovators in food, art and music alongside our shows and events.

With the support of industry professionals in the fashion, entertainment and media industries in Brisbane, Brisbane Fashion Month is not just a new entry on the fashion stage; it’s a collaboration and a movement of creatives, innovators and all that are passionate about promoting and growing the  Fashion industry in Brisbane. It’s by the people, for the people and a movement in the industry.
