Up until about 8 years ago Meredith had been employed in the corporate world as a sales manager for the dental division of Oral B. She made a decision in 2009 to be poor, but happy and began a full time career as a milliner.
She has been designing and making hats since 2002 and works from her home studio/showroom producing beautiful creations ranging from bridal and mother of the bride through to fabulous race-day winners and cocktail pieces.
Many of her pieces have won their owners ‘ fashions on the field’ . Meredith is dedicated and passionate about her craft and uses traditional millinery techniques and materials as well as incorporating some of the modern materials available today.
Upskilling and attending forums and workshops over the past 15 years Meredith has been tutored by some of the best international as well as Australian millinery tutors. Millinery is a trade where there as so many techniques and materials available that inspiration is everywhere and everything.
Meredith is an active member of the Brisbane Racing Club and has served on the Fashion Committee for the past two years. She is also a member of the Millinery Association of Australia.
Her philosophy is that “if you are passionate about what you do then it will show itself in the pieces you create”
