Wonderfully whimsical Brisbane designer IVY NIU leads the Tent Dress Project, an artistic collaboration with 10 featured artists who have each interpreted the designer's iconic dress silhouette in their own one-off artistic design.
As part of a three-day display of The Tent Dress Project at Newstead Studios for BAD Festival 2021, presented by Museum of Brisbane, we are thrilled to present Ivy and two of her Tent Dress Project collaborators, Brisbane creatives Bianca Mavrick and Rachel Burke, in this intimate conversation detailing their process and inspiration around creating these one-of-a-kind garments. Panel moderator: writer Vanessa Popescu.
In celebration of the Tent Dress Project, guests will each receive a limited edition IVY NIU print to take home.
Newstead Studios cafe The Sunroom will be open for coffee orders from 1pm, with The Tent Dress project on display from Saturday 1-5pm [as well as Friday 6.30am-2pm and Sunday 12-4pm]. The exhibition is featured on ground level, with the ticketed event taking place on level 1.
